Problems With CUE
Most CUE Radios will develop touch screen problems such as cracking, erratic touch response, or even unwanted commands occurring. The engineers at Cadillac used a gel based screen when designing the CUE touchscreen. Over time the gel dries up, gets hard and starts to show cracking. In 2018 GM redesigned the screen to help prevent issues. Unfortunately they decided to stick with the same gel based screen. This “improved” screens has shown to have the same issues because of the gel base.
